Notes on use Cart must be plugged in 2 ways Into network drop (maybe 2 network drops!) Into electrical outlet Wireless networking is slower than wired Range of wireless is >200 feet*, but performance decreases as distance increases

Notes on use Buildings work out own schedule, usually with Media Clerk Suggestion: reserve it for half-day periods with your neighbors to reduce moving it. (Moving it every hour is too much hassle.) Use of cart isnt mandated, but training is.

Benefits Great for occasions when you dont need whole lab or if lab is booked. Some activities work better in classroom. Nice for lab follow-up for kids who need to catch up.

Quotes Because there is extra lab time, I have been able to use the laptops for several hours in a row. –D. Begin Overall, my kids love them. They like being able to work on them. They are fascinated with the fact that they are not connected to anything. –D. Jablonski I had them do a simple Word document with pictures and inserts to help them practice using the pad. –D. North
