On Top of the World Are we there yet? This was a question that I was asking a lot. I was seven years old and on my way to Six Flags. My family and I were going on vacation. On the way, I listened as my big sister told me about all of the rides. She kept mentioning one in particular…..The Scream Machine. My seven year old mind could not imagine exactly what a roller coaster was, but it sounded fun enough to me.

When I first stepped into the park, I spotted it…huge, exciting, FUN. To me, the Scream Machine looked like a metal version of my tinker toys. I watched as the car slowly moved up the ramp. All the people threw up their hands as the car whizzed down the other side. Id seen enough. This was definitely the ride for me.
