Ultrasound imaging proved inconclusive suggesting a Artero-Venous Malformation. MRI was used to further differentiate the mass prior to surgical intervention. Further examples on the role of MRI in the diagnosis of vascular pelvic anomalies.

Case study 1 43 yr old – Previous miscarriage – ?retained products of conception

Case study 2 30 yr old female – History of incomplete miscarriage – US suggested AVM and retained products – Gradual decline in haemoglobin

Case study 3 A 23 year old female – Post ERPOC procedure for partial molar pregnancy. – On and off spotting – One episode of severe bleeding – Ultrasound diagnosed a likely AVM.
