THANKSGIVING The God We Know! Psalm 23

Thanksgiving is a season to take inventory!

Not being blind to trouble or misfortune, but remembering that God can even work through our disabilities, struggles and trouble!

One of life’s great tragedies is taking much for granted! One of life’s great tragedies is taking much for granted!

Ingratitude is the first step in the ultimate loss of hope! Ingratitude is the first step in the ultimate loss of hope!

Who/What do you take for granted ? Who/What do you take for granted ?

Psalm 23 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. Psalm 23 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

…I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…

…you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.” 1 Chronicles 29:12 “Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. But either the timing is wrong, or from His position He can see that the future of it is bleak. I have always believed that people who thank God only for delivering them from what happened…

…are just scraping the surface of praise. The real praise comes when you start thanking Him for what could have happened but didn’t because of His swift grace!”

And there I find You in the mystery In oceans deep My faith will stand And there I find You in the mystery In oceans deep My faith will stand

Your grace abounds in deepest waters Your sovereign hand Will be my guide Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me

You’ve never failed and You won’t start now Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders You’ve never failed and You won’t start now Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders

Let me walk upon the waters Wherever You would call me Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander Let me walk upon the waters Wherever You would call me Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander

And my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Savior Oh, Jesus, you’re my God!

So I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise So I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise

My soul will rest in Your embrace For I am Yours and You are mine! My soul will rest in Your embrace For I am Yours and You are mine!
