1 It is well with my soul Psalm 23 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

2 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

3 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

4  I shall not want (I lack nothing) John 10:3-4 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

5  He provides in our physical needs Matthew 6:11 “Give us today our daily bread”

6  He provides in our emotional needs Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

7  He provides in our spiritual needs 2 Peter 1:3 “God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life.”

8  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. Psalms 62:5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. 6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

9 “My trust in God flows out of the experience of his loving me, day in and day out, whether the day is stormy or fair, whether I'm sick or in good health, whether I'm in a state of grace or disgrace. He comes to me where I live and loves me as I am.” (Brennan Manning)

10  Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me: your rod and your staff, they comfort me. To face your darkest situations is to know the Shepherd
