The Clean Water Act 1977, 1981, 1987 CWA Originally drafted in 1977 Amendment Years: 1977, 1981, 1987 National-United States Ryan Taylor P. 6

Description and environmental issues of the Clean Water Act 1977, 1981, The Clean Water Act (CWA) is the surface water quality protection in the United States. The Act does not deal directly with ground water or with water quantity issues. A variety of tools are employed to greatly reduce pollutant discharges into waterways, finance municipal wastewater treatment facilities, and manage polluted runoff. -This act protects humans from becoming sick by cleaning the water that they consume. A variety of tests (bacteria, pH, iron, copper…etc) are conducted to ensure the safety.

Regulation of the Clean Water Act 1977, 1981, 1987 There are many agencies that are involved in protecting the water to ensure our safety. Some may include The Environmental Protection Agency and The Office of Water Federal Register Notices. Humans themselves contribute to the regulation by not littering and using barriers to prevent runoff to water resources.
