Ex: Jem gingerly tiptoed onto the Radleys front porch trying hard to not make a sound. 3.peril n.: danger. Ex: The children found themselves in great peril after they noticed someone following them home in the dark.

4.escapade n.: reckless prank or adventure. Ex: The childrens escapade included peeking in Boo Radleys window and trying to pass him a note with a fishing pole. 5.infuriated v.: angered greatly. Ex: Mr. Ewell was infuriated when he saw Tom and Mayella together. 6.oppressive adj.: overbearing; hard to put up with. Ex: Scout frequently found Calpurnias rules to be oppressive.

7.rectitude n.: uprightness of character. Ex: Atticus Finch was known in the community of Maycomb for his rectitude. 8.tirade n.: a long angry speech.
