THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
What about a gap year? You could: Explore the world Work Volunteer Attend a semestered school to complete your credits or upgrade a course Of course there is post-secondary education: College University Apprenticeship programs A collaborative program e.g. College/University partnership #10: Consider Your Options
What programs interest you? Would an applied degree with coop opportunities in a college be better for you? Which subjects are you good at? Build on your strengths Do you want to stay at home or go away? Does class size matter? Check the admission requirements and what you will be studying. Don’t only research your “dream” schools… have a variety of options… include some “sure things”, and always have a backup plan Meet your new best friends (activation code: lparkci) and and #9: Choose wisely… University dropout rate is at an all-time high… don’t become a statistic

High School Diploma (OSSD): 30 Credits, successful literacy test, 40 hours of community service For University: 6 Grade 12 U or M courses –Gr. 12 English (ENG4U) plus –5 additional 4U/4M courses Each program may determine prerequisite 4U/M courses as well as a minimum average.
