5 Choosing Courses for Grade 12 Students should select 6, 7 or 8 courses for their grade 12 program Credit count at the start of grade 12: 22 = 0 spares 23 = 1 spare 24 = 2 spares

12 Alternate Courses You must select two alternate courses in case one of your other choices is cancelled or can’t be placed on your timetable (conflict) Choose wisely. This may be the class that will be assigned to you automatically and you won’t know it until you get your timetable in August.

23 Research Scholarships The end of your grade 11 year is not too early to start organizing and researching for scholarships Scholarship deadlines happen from as early as Sept. of your grade 12 year Many opportunities to get money Something like $30 million of scholarship money goes unapplied for every year. Don’t you want a piece of that pie? Talk to your Guidance counsellor on how to get started.

Students will be called to computer labs starting Feb 19-21 to submit course selections Please look for the date of your grade day Listen for announcements that day and go to the appropriate room # for your last name alphabet. (i.e. last names beginning with A, C and L go to room 453 )
