Nigeria !! We have gathered some information on Nigeria and some facts as well. Enjoy! By Simone and Rachel.

Map of Nigeria  Here is a map of Nigeria  Some of the provinces in Nigeria are Niger, Kano and Oyo

Flag and geography!!  Here is the Nigerian flag. As you can see it is green and white.  Nigeria is one third of the size of Texas. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa. It has a population of 135,031,164 people.  The capital of Nigeria is Abuja.

Clothes of Nigeria!  In Nigeria there a variety of different clothing is worn.  In the north of Nigeria they wear Nigerian attire to work.  In the south more western clothes are worn.  Here are some women posing for you!!

Schools and education!  In Nigeria the children start school when they are 3 years old and finish when they are 18 years old.  The school year once ran from September to June but then the minister changed it from January to June.  The school year now runs from January to December. WOW.

Religion Here is a picture of the Holy Spirit’s flame. It is a Nigerian picture. People of many different religious beliefs live together in Nigeria: Christianity 40 Islam 50% Other 10%
