Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Since 2009, Congress has dedicated more than $4.1 billion for six rounds to fund projects “TIGER Discretionary Grants.” – 2014 ($600 Million) awarded on a competitive basis for projects that will have a significant impact on the Nation, a metropolitan area, or a region. Planning Grants $35 Million Application Due By April 28, Grants.gov Obligation by Sept. 30, 2016 – longer term FY 2014 TIGER program are to be awarded on a competitive basis for projects that will have a significant impact on the Nation, a metropolitan area or a region.
