Presentation transcript:

 The Earth is made up of a series of layers called: Geosphere Hydrosphere Atmosphere

 It’s made up of: It’s made up of rocks. It’s very thin. It contains the continents and the seas It’s made up of dense rocky substances. The temperature is vey high and some rocks are molten, it’s magma. It’s made up primarily of iron. The temperature here is hotter than in the mantle. The core is divided into outer core, which is liquid and the inner core, which is solid. The crust (outer layer) The mantle (middle layer) The core (inner layer)

Geosphere Hydrosphere Atmosphere The crust (outer layer) The matle (middle layer) The core (inner layer) Outer core Inner core

 How many layers has the Earth got?  How many layers has the geosphere got?  What are the names of the Earth’s layers?  What are the names of geosphere’s layers?  What is the outer layer?  What is the middle layer?  What is the inner layer?  What is inside the inner layer?  Is it hot or cold?

 It’s all the water on the Earth. The water can be: liquidsolidgas Salt water Fresh water Rivers, lakes, groundwater oceans & seas Snow & ice Water vapour

Geosphere Hydrosphere Atmosphere The crust (outer layer) The matle (middle layer) The core (inner layer) Outer core Inner core all the WATER liquid solid gas

 It’s the layer of air that surrounds the Earth.  Air is a mixture of gases (nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, ozone and water vapour)

TroposphereStratosphere It’s the closest layer It contains most of the gas and water vapour. The weather phenomena occurs here. It’s the layer above the troposphere. It contains a high concentration of ozone (ozone layer) It acts as a barrier against the Sun’s ultraviolet rays. and other higher layers.
