Mind map Create a mind map of all the effects of the First Crusade. – you may wish to structure your mind map in terms of religious/social/economic etc. – you may to structure it in groups; e.g. impact on Islamic world/W.Europe/Byzantium etc. Use the chapter from Holt to begin

Further Reading J. Harris “Byzantium and the Crusades” has a good chapter on Antioch and Jerusalem P.M. Holt “The Crusader States and their neighbours” is the book you read the first chapter from. There are a large number of Crusade relevant texts in the library. Go and read some.
