INDEX Lever Pulley Wheel and Axle Wedge Screw Incline plane Gears

LEVERLEVER  A lever goes up and down or under.  A lever is when you push and pull.  A pivot is at the end of a lever.  A lever is when it lowers a wedge.  One end can be moved as the lever pivots on the fulcrum at the base.  Every lever has a pivot.

P ULLEY I. A pulley is when you can pull a flag up. II. Pulley can make life easier. III. A pulley is when something goes up and down.

WHEEL AND AXLEWHEEL AND AXLE A Axle holds the wheel so it can roll on the floor. A wheel and Axle help reduce friction and allow a heavy object like a car to move around easily. A feriswheel has a wheel and Axle in it.

W EDGE  A knife cuts food like a wedge you cut  A shark teeth is a wedge.

I NCLINE P LANE  A inclined plane is when it goes down like water does.  An Inclined plane is like a hill.  A inclined plane has to be on a angle.

S CREW  A screw tightens something onto a jar.  A screw is to push something down.  A screw makes something stay down.

GEARGEAR A gear is when one gear goes clockwise and the other gear goes anticlockwise. A gear is inside a clock is to make the hands in the clock move.
