They try getting their creepy neighboor, Boo Radley, to come out of his house, starting all sorts of problems. Atticus being a lawyer represents a black guy, Tom Robinsion, who is being tried for raping a white woman. Everyone in Maycomb calls Atticus a “nigger lover”, which Jem and Scout don’t like to hear. Bob Ewells sets out to get revenge on Atticus for making a fool out of him at trial. He trys attacking Scout and Jem kill Ewells. Scout finally then sees what life for Boo Radley is, and shows symapthy towards him. Characters: Jean-Lousie Finch (Scout), Jeremy Finch (Jem), Dill Harris, Atticus Finch, Calpurnia, Boo Radley, Tom Robinson, Aunt Alexandra, Maudie Atkison, Bob Ewell

To Kill a Mockingbird I'd rather you shot at tin cans in the back yard, but I know you'll go after birds. Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird.“ *This quote shows symbolism. It refers to the title and the meaning of a Mockingbird. They are harmless creatures, and sing peacefully, to kill one would be a sin.

To Kill a Mockingbird I liked this book, and would recommend it if you like books about the struggles during the Great Depression, and what the people had to go through. I liked how descriptive Harper Lee was when describing situations.
