Inventory Purpose 1 The secondary goal of inventory proportionality is inventory minimization. By integrating accurate demand forecasting with inventory management, rather than to past averages, a much more accurate and optimal outcome.

Inventory Purpose 1 Integrating demand forecasting into inventory management in this way also allows for the prediction of the "can fit" point when inventory storage is limited on a per-product basis.

Demand management - Demand management in economics 1 In economics, demand management is the art or science of controlling economic demand to avoid a recession. In natural resources management and environmental policy more generally, it refers to policies to control consumer demand for environmentally sensitive or harmful goods such as water and energy. Within manufacturing firms the term is used to describe the activities of demand forecasting, planning, and order fulfillment.
