Killer Wine

Edible vs. medicinal wines Do not use purely medicinal plants! –Digitalis purpurea (foxglove) –Convallaria majalis (lily of the valley) –Atropoa belladonna (deadly nightshade) Most plants have some medicinal qualities to them, but are still safe –Chamomile - calming –Garlic - circulatory –Dandelion - calming X Allergies

Not sure about a plant? Dont use it! Remember the Golden Rule of Garden Winemaking!

Dont be afraid to use spices & herbs! Each herb, spice, or petal gives its unique flavor to a wine. You can grow them anywhere Herbs can be an eye-pleasing addition to your flower garden! If you like the smell, taste or color of an herb, you might like the wine made out of it!

Use good judgment! If you are unsure about any property of a plant, herb, or spice, do not use it. And use your sense of smell! Do not use too much! If it doesnt sound like a good idea, it probably isnt.

Dont be biased! Not just novelty wines or marinades! A few examples: –Chrysanthemum & Chicken –Tomato-Basil & Pizza –Daylily or Chocolate Mint –Sage or Rosemary-Nutmeg –Juniper
