3 3  Farmers’ markets offer fantastic food and much more!  Following are 12 reasons for visiting a farmers’ market...

4 4 1. Find foods not found in a grocery store

5 5 2. Take home a tasty tomato

6 6 Make a tomato, basil, and olive oil bruschetta or other recipe!

7 7 3. Enjoy really fresh sweet corn

10 10 You know the plant will grow locally because it was grown locally.

11 11 5. Meet with a master gardener Extension master gardeners are available at some farmers’ markets. They’ll answer your garden questions and help make your garden grow!

14 14  Freshly picked produce not only tastes better, but keeps longer, too!  Look for the Buy Fresh Buy Local sign used many places to identify locally grown produce.
