Institute for Improvement of Education The Institute for Improvement of Education has been established in based on Law on foundations of the education system The Institute has 3 organizational units from which one is the Center for Vocational and Adult Education By the Law, to the Institute has been given the tasks which are, among the others, presented here
NQF development WG for NQF development – established in November by the Ministry of Education and Science WG consists 18 members from different stakeholders Tasks of the WG: defining the scope of NQF, levels and descriptors, structure and types of Qs and their relation, development and revision of Qs and their standards, methodology for development of QS, connection with the NQF in higher education etc.
NQF development Qualification Standards for 14* pilot educational profiles have been developed – comparison/cooperation with Montenegro Agreement between the Institute for Improvement of Education and Chamber of Commerce has just been signed for establishing Sector Committees – the work will start in September * geodesy technician, auto electrician, baker, butcher, dairyman, food processing technician, agriculture technician, veterinarian technician, manipulator of agricultural technique, cook, waiter, confectioner, financial administrator, business administrator.

Matura exams New concept of exams in VET (pilot profiles) –Assessment of achieved competences –Partially external assessment (3 members – 1 from industry) –Improvement of assessment instruments –Harmonization of Matura realization at national level Structure of the exam: –Serbian language –Test of knowledge - assessing learning outcomes from several theoretical vocational subjects –Practical work – tasks which reflect job operations from real work environment
Matura exams Rule books, Programs, Manuals of exams Manuals’ users are students, assessors (teachers and employers), mentors, schools’ management and parents Matura results are used as indicator for schools’ self- evaluation process 2013/14 - the final concept of Matura exam will be introduced and the programs for all profiles will be developed
