Early Life Birthday-- September 8, 1954 When she was just 4 years old, she moved to New Orleans. She had 4 brothers and sisters

School Ruby Bridges was the first African American to go to an all white public school. The school’s name was William Frantz

Honors On October 27th, 2006 the city of Almeida California dedicated a new Elementary school to Ruby Bridges and issued a proclamation in her honor. In 1995 a book about Ruby was published. When the book came out, Ruby's first grade teacher, Mrs. Henry, contacted her and met up with her on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Mid life Ruby Bridges hall was established in 1994.She helped black and white children to have a better life!

Later in Life In November ,2006 Ruby Bridges was honored for Anti Defamation League’s Concert Against Hate.She also working on a foundation called Ruby Bridges Foundation!

Today in her life Today she is going to her 50’s. She still likes to play softball! Ruby Bridges is single
