Outside of the stable, the animals are gathered and talking… They are two cows, a donkey, a sheep, and a dove.

Something to Do with a Star (Donkey) A man and a lady came travelling. I carried the lady this far. I don’t know why they stayed in a stable. We think it has something to do with a star!

Going in the stable, the animals try to find out what’s going on in there… They are surprised to find a baby in the manger!

The cattle are lowing the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my cradle-- till morning is nigh.
