Inquiry/Research  Students will read and investigate “The Weary Blues” by Langston Hughes (Daybook 19.)  Students will view the following video link that encompasses a dramatic reading of the poem with images from 1920s Harlem nightlife and music   Students will work as a group to respond to the prompts on Daybook pages 20 and 21 that culminate in an original poem.
