Today we celebrate one of the best holidays, which young and old people love very much. It’s the day of Love and Friendship. On this holiday people buy or make Valentine’s cards and send them to people they love. They shouldn’t write their names on the cards. Those who gets them must guess who sent them. Children decorate their classrooms with big red hearts and give red roses and chocolate to their sweethearts, friends and family. We send greeting cards to our sweethearts and friends and ask them to «BE MY VALENTINE». This means « be my friend or love».

There are many symbols on Valentine Cards There are many symbols on Valentine Cards. And each has its special meaning. A fan shows that you open your heart to a person you love. A ribbon shows that you want to be tied to another special person. A ring is a symbol of love and binding to another person. When a man gives a ring to a woman they are engaged. Lace shows that you want a special person to be caught in the net of your heart. A coin shows you will marry a weather person. So if someone gives you a coin he/she is wishing you to be wealthy.

Now let’s repeat some expressions: I love you. I’m crazy about you. I care about you. I’m in your net. I think you are nice I think you are fine, Won’t you please Be my Valentine!!!!!
