History of Valentine’s Day: Every February across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones. We all know that February has been for a long time a month of romantics.

Who was the first person to send a Valentine’s Greeting? Well that Is pretty easy it was Valentine himself. People say he sent it to a young girl while in prison.

Ways Valentine’s Day is celebrated? On Valentine’s day candy, flowers, and cards are giving out. Some married guys give their wives roses and a box of chocolate. Some people go out to eat and have a meal together. People have parties and dances. People go to families and visit.

On Valentine’s Day my family and I go out. We usually go to the movies and then go out to eat. We also go and celebrate my cousin’s birthday.

It is almost here, that special time of year. When hearts and flowers by the hours are brought to all. Be prepared. Don’t be afraid to show the one you love how much he/she means to you. DON’T forget Valentine’s Day only comes once a year.

“I wrote your name in the sky, but the wind blew it away. I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves washed it away. I wrote your name in my heart, and forever it will stay.” By: - Jessica Blade -
