By Rebeka Mészáros Young People’s Entertainment Habits

Young people like fashion. There are fashion magazines, fashion shows and fashion TV channels. The fashion magazines are usually published quarterly but there are some which come out monthly. The fashion shows are organised by designers, companies or charity organisations. Some of these shows are for professional exclusively and others are for the public. Fashion TV channels broadcast the shows all day long.

Shopaholics are shopping addicts. These people enjoy doing shopping and buying everything even if they don’t need it. Plazas in Hungary are similar to shopping malls, where there are several shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities, such as cinemas, bowling alleys, amusement arcades, and squash courts. So young people can do lots of things under one roof.

People can use the Internet from home. Everybody in my family uses it. They keep in contact with friends, and surf the net for some information. Mainly young people like chatting, that is, exchanging messages on the Internet. When people use a chat programme, they can immediately see what the other person is writing and they can reply instantly.

Young people go to the library to borrow books and CDs, read newspapers and magazines, photocopy materials listen to music and use computers.

Nowadays young people prefer going to multiplex cinemas where they can enjoy films on large screens and digital sound systems.

People go to a circus to enjoy themselves and watch the performance of acrobats, animal trainers and their animals, clowns, illusionists, and tightrope walkers.

A lot of young people go to the disco and concert every weekend. This is very good amusement but there are dangerous things, too such as drug, alcohol and ordinary disco accident.
