3. CARS  Nowadays all new cars are fitted with computer called an ecu. The first car to be fitted with an ecu was the BMW 801 in 1939. The benefits with an ecu is that it will tell you were to go set the car up for you let you listen to music and tell you if there’s anything wrong with the car. But the downside is there are a lot more things to go wrong and there not cheap to fix. HOME

4. SHOPPING  Before the days of the internet people went to their local shops and did their shopping there. But now it is capable to across the web with every major shopping store online people never had to leave their homes again. There is a problem with shopping online vegetables and fruits can get damaged whilst being transported and if ordering clothes if they don’t fit you have to pay for the return post on that item. 5. ENTERTAINMENT  We have many ways of entertaining our selves such as music, games, TV and sport but before we had all of these high tech gadgets things were more basic. Before people thought of the tech we have now days they entertained them selves with what ever they could find such as books and making things like tree houses. Now that we have all of these gadgets we aren’t getting as much exercise and all of these gadgets are mighty expensive. HOME

6. SOCIAL NETWORKING  Social networking is simply talking to your friends and family or advertising products. There are many different ways of social networking, it first started by posting notes on a pin board or talking to someone face to face. Now people use websites such as Face book, bebo MySpace and msn which are online pin boards which can be seen by any one at any time. But these online pin boards can be accessed by stalkers and other bad people unlike original pin boards which people couldn’t track you down from. HOME

7. RESEARCH  Originally researching meant going to your local library or staying at home and looking through a book. Since the invention of the internet, finding out information has been a lot easier because it is a lot quicker because of search engines and specialist websites. But you can’t believe everything you see because the information can be changed and altered. Where as a book is officially published checking all the information and facts are true. HOME

9. What is the technology The first home pc made was the IBM 5050. The first generations of home computers Were nicked named micro computers because They were much smaller than their water cooled Predorsessors of the 1960’s. 10. The Osborne 1 was the first portable pc ever made. It was made by Osborne computer company and costs $1795 when new. But they didn’t really take off until the year 2000 when laptops became lighter and less expensive so they were easier to carry and easier to buy. 11. How is it used ?  The technology we call computers is amazing, by the amount of tasks we can do at once. We can do sums on excel, write a story on Microsoft's word and be chatting to our friends on face book all at the same time. 12.  The computer as also originally used for calculating large sums quickly but then the pocket calculator was invented also using a micro computer. The tech is now commonly found in large mechanical devices like cars, trains and plane to help the driver or pilot handle their machine better and their used to help the machines run more economical. How has it affected our lives?  The technology has affected our dramatically, because we rely on computers so much we don’t have to do much for ourselves like doing our shopping once we’ve selected the items for one shop and then next time we go online our favourite items are already there for us. Pros and Cons  There are many good things to say about computers such as how we can email our friends in Tokyo from your home in London and how computers keep planes in the air and cars on the road. But there are also many bad things to say as well, like how thousands of people are stalked online every year and how people aren't doing enough for themselves plus people are now obese due to the lack of things they have to do.
