 Medical records technicians and health information technicians are the professionals responsible for ensuring patients’ charts are accurate and complete.  salary of $33100.

 Assembles patients health information, like medical history, symptoms, examination results, and other health care provider services. Technicians also organize and manage health information data by ensuring its quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security. They regularly communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses or to obtain additional information.

 To be a medical records and health information technicians you to have an associate degree from a community or junior college.  Advancement usually requires 2 to 4 years of job experience and completion of a hospital's in-house training program.

 Medical and health service mangers  Medical transcriptionist  technicians may choose to specialize or become managers.  There is a 20% increase through 2018.

 Glen Oaks Community College is the only college in Michigan that provide education for this profession.

 Glen Oaks Community College: Out-of- District Residents or International Students: $160 per contact hour.  $75.00 per class  Off campus in state: $12,713 out of state:$12,413.  Off campus with family in state: $11,189 out of state: $13,937.
