 Cars for Homes is Habitat for Humanity’s national program that provides donors a quick and easy process for donating cars, trucks, boats, RVs and other vehicles to help homes in partnership with local low- income families in need of decent, affordable shelter.  Started in 2003 under Sally Black from Seattle.  Approved in 2005 as a national program in HfH International About Cars for Homes

How Cars for Homes ™ Works Donors call HFHI (4344) to donate cars, trucks, boats, RVs and other motorized vehicles. Or process vehicle donations online at Step 1: Donor Response Net proceeds generated from vehicle donations and donor contact information are distributed to local affiliates to help build homes. Step 3: Distribution of Funds Advanced Remarketing Services, Inc, Habitat’s national agent, processes vehicle donations, including title transfer, towing and reporting. Funds generated from vehicles sold via a network of auto auctions, recyclers, salvage yards and the web are sent to HFHI. Step 2: Vehicle Donation Processing
