Greening of the Industry Definition(s) of Green Jobs Green jobs are broadly defined as jobs that involve protecting wildlife of ecosystems, reducing pollution or waste, reducing energy sage or lowering carbon emissions. Green jobs involve some task associated with improving the environment including reducing carbon emissions and creating and / or using energy more efficiently. (Obama Middle Class Task Force) Green jobs should provide worker friendly conditions, pay a living wage and offer opportunities for continued skill training and career growth
