IRU Academy CPC Manager Programme – International, regional and national recognition 55+ ATIs, 35+ countries, 1 harmonised programme & Diploma Pan-Arab Certification Recognition through the Arab Union of Land Transport Regional Examination authority

Transfer of CPC Manager Training Programmes 1.Selection of credible partners who share the objectives of improving professionalism and road safety, despite the lack of an established mandatory national qualification framework, which would guarantee that the investments performed in developing such capacity could be financially covered; 2.Identification of potential CPC Manager instructors complying with IRU Academy requirements; 3.Transfer of competence through the delivery of Train the Trainer programmes delivered in Egypt, Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; 4.Coaching and assistance to future Accredited Training Centre to develop training capacity; 5.Pilot training delivery under the supervision of the IRU Academy expert; 6.Instructor testing and examination; 7.Completion of the IRU Academy Accreditation Process; 8.Accreditation of the training institute and instructor Certification.

(c) International Road Transport Union (IRU) 2013 Training on the use of AOL for the ATI’s Principal AOL Administrator Train-the-Trainers of the ATI by an expert for the appropriate IRU Academy programme ATI Instructors’ examination to ensure their mastering of the programme matter and their training capacities Organisation of a Pilot Delivery by the ATI instructors under the supervision of an IRU Academy training expert Accreditation Process New ATIs/Programme

Conclusions & Recommandations: Developing Professional Capacity Great success in allowing Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia to benefit from the transfer of high standard transport manager professional training programme. In order for the industry to perform and contribute to the economic development in a sustainable manner, a level playing field needs to be established to ensure quality, safety and efficiency in road transport. ›Adopt rules for access to profession in the occupation of road transport Adopt all provisions of the UN Consolidated Resolution on the Facilitation of International Road Transport (R.E.4) on the Harmonisation of Requirements Concerning International Road Transport and Facilitation of its Operation; ›Establish manager qualification frameworks and implement high quality professional training recognised at international standards Increase the number of IRU Academy ATIs able to deliver high quality training programmes to road transport professionals, as currently implemented by ATIs who benefited from the IDB-AULT-IRU grant in selected LAS countries; ›Establish examination capacity to ensure sustainable and continuous quality in IRU Academy programmes trainees’ assessment Setup or nominate an institution/authority responsible for ensuring, in compliance with international standards, qualitative delivery of professional driver training and organisation of examinations while ensuring the sustainable and continuous quality of IRU Academy Programmes through the organisation of transparent, reliable, affordable and objective testing of IRU Academy students in the Pan-Arab region under the supervision of the AULT and in close cooperation with national competent Authorities in LAS countries;
