How did you discover this job?  I had it as a summer job when I was in university then I kept it

Did you go to post secondary school? If so how long?  Yes! And I went for two years

What are the benefits of your job?  Good pay, pension plan, health benefits, and 4 weeks of pay vacation

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE NEW IN THE WORKFORCE?  Learn as much as you can! If you don’t like the work then find something else

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR SALARY? WHY OR WHY NOT?  Yes because I can pay bills and save for retirement

What was your first job and how did it influence you?  I worked in mines in Buchans! That convinces me to go to university because I didn’t like that job!

Did you want to do this work when you were young? Why or why not?  No I didn’t think about it, when I got older I was a new field of work

What is your favorite part of work?  Writing a professional computer program that works!

Do you enjoy your work ? If so why?  Yes it gives me sense of satisfaction, knowing that I can create something everyone can use

What are the hours/work week of your job?  Flexible hours, around a week, varies on how much work there is to do.

Which of your high school courses prepared you for your work?  Math

What are your future plans?  Retire, read and garden

If you could choose what else would you do?  accounting

Would you rather work alone or with a team?  Alone because more concentration, and fewer destrations!

What is more important-making lots of money or job satisfaction?  Both are important but, job satisfaction is more important

What influenced you on your job choices?  Good pay, flexible hours and working with new technology

How long have you been working at this job?  36 years

How are people paid for this work?  Depends, if you are with a contract you work commission, if you work full time its hourly, and salary+bonuses

If you could change anything about your career, what would It be and why?  Would have learned more about apple products, because that is more share of the market now

WOULD YOU WORK AT THIS JOB UNTIL RETIREMENT? IF NOT WHY? Yes because I enjoy working at this job it is something I like to do and the people I work with are great, plus good money!
