A computer programmer writes applications programs or system programs, test and debug programs, prepare the installation of CD-ROMS and maintain programs. The average salary for a computer programmer is about $79,000 US Dollars (USD).

A database administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database. A DBA also designs and develop database applications, control access to the data and keeps the data up to date. The average salary for a database administrator is $82,000 US Dollars(USD).

A computer technician specializes in installation, repair and maintenance of computer equipments. The average salary for a computer technician is $38,000 US Dollars(USD).

A system analyst configures, maintains and supports computers. This person may also determine which computers and software to purchase, as well as how those components can work together. In some cases, he may be responsible for improving computers that are already in use. The average salary for a system analyst is $78,000 US Dollars(USD).

A computer operator monitors and controls the central computer system(or console) by starting up and shutting down the system and responding to messages from the system. They also perform routine maintenance such as cleaning drives, loading input and output systems such as tape drives or paper in printers and keeping logs on system performance. The average salary of a computer operator is $39,000 US Dollars(USD).

A network administrator sets up networks, develops and/or installs software that is used on the network. They grant access privileges and monitor the use of the network and its resources. The average salary of a network administrator is $76,000 US Dollars(USD).
