Helping Students Create a Four Year Plan  Career Inventory – “Kuder”  Interest Inventory – “Kuder”  Super’s Work Values Inventory-revised  Classroom Visits – Counselors  Night Workshops – Students, Parents, Technology Teachers, Counselors

“Kuder” Missouri College and Career Planning System  The Missouri College and Career Planning System, powered by Kuder®, is a comprehensive, research-based approach to career exploration, planning, and development. It is designed to be self-paced and self-interpreted, or presented as a traditional classroom experience with teacher/counselor support. Either way, it supports and increases parental involvement. It is brief, highly reliable, and user friendly.

Kuder Electronic Career Portfolio  The Kuder Electronic Career Portfolio is the gateway to the online career planning system. Through the portfolio, online users begin to build their lifelong academic planner, take assessments, and explore postsecondary and occupational information. The portfolio also allows users to compare college profiles side by side, save information to a “favorites” list, and build a professional resume. Whether applying for scholarships and internships, or interviewing for employment, this record of experience and skills is crucial.

Kuder Career Search with Person Match (interest inventory):  The Kuder Career Search with Person Match scientifically helps individuals discover their career interests. Results are presented in rank order of career cluster preference and include a listing of occupations within each cluster. Individuals may explore postsecondary options and occupational information based on their interests. The assessment-taker's preferences are compared to a database of 2,000 individuals working in today's occupations. Occupational bios are presented for the 14 closest matches in the top two clusters.

Kuder Skills Assessment  The Kuder® Skills Assessment is a highly reliable self-estimate of abilities. The results of the Kuder® Skills Assessment parallel the interest results, promoting occupation selection with the greatest opportunity for satisfaction and success. A composite report of interests and skills is automatically generated once both assessments have been completed.

Super’s Work Values Inventory-revised  For all individuals seeking to refine a potentially long list of occupational choices. Twelve work characteristics are reported in order of individual preference. The report is used to narrow research to occupations satisfying the individual's work values.

“Kuder” Missouri College and Career Planning System  It is suggested students begin in the 8 th grade.  Take again as a 10 th grader.  And again as a 12 th grader.  For more information on “Kuder” contact and/or 800–

Classroom Visits  Counselors present graduation requirements.  Students/Counselors work on selecting classes for 9 th grade.  Students/Counselors work on selecting classes to complete four year plan.

Night Workshops  Counselors provide night workshops so that students, parents, technology instructors and counselors can work together to complete 9 th grade schedule and four year plan.

Four Year Plan  Developed at the end of the 8 th grade reviewed annually through high school.  Changes that need to be made are approved by student’s parent.
