The Baltic Deal Vision A greener agriculture for a bluer Baltic Sea driven by knowledge and advice Target group messages Farmers –Optimizing the use of nutrients and reduce losses is a cost efficient way to enhance productivity and benefits of the farm Advisors –Baltic Deal provides advisory organisations in the Baltic Sea Region with improved methods and tools on how to support farmers to reduce nutrient losses from farms.

Why focus upon knowledge and advice? Cost-effective and flexible – farm and farmer specific High acceptance within the farming community Increased preparedness among farmers –in applying for agri-environmental measures in the Rural Development Programs –better implementation of national and EU regulations in the agri-environmental area But not only knowledge and advice…. Measures, investments and policy actions, too
