A cleanroom is an environment that has a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapors. More accurately, a cleanroom has a controlled level of contamination that is specified by the number of particles per cubic meter at a specified particle size. Cleanrooms are used extensively in semiconductor manufacturing, biotechnology, the life sciences and other fields that are very sensitive to environmental contamination. The air entering a cleanroom from outside is filtered to exclude dust, and the air inside is constantly recirculated through high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) and/or ultra-low penetration air (ULPA) filters to remove internally generated contaminants. Some cleanrooms are kept at a positive pressure so that if there are any leaks, air leaks out of the chamber instead of unfiltered air coming in. The Cleanroom design also being used at hospital operating theaters, which requires low particle and low biological contamination to minimize infection. This seminar will focus on the basics of clean room design for achieving desired clean room air quality. Participants will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of high efficiency air filters and their performance, selection of suitable air filters, principles of good airflow management, types of common room layout and designs. This seminar will also build upon the theory of filtration and the mechanisms of particle capture in fibrous filters and its relevance to testing. Common pitfalls and suggestions to avoid them will also be discussed. This Seminar is featuring all above mentioned aspects by recognized speakers and experts with international and national case studies. The topics would covers: Basic Clean Room Design, Fundamental of Air Filter, Introduction to Particle Measurement, and Testing High Efficiency Filters HOURSPROGRAMPRESENTER 08:00 – 08:20 Registration and Coffee Break Committee 08:20 – 08:30 Opening Remark Deddy El Rashid President AIC :30 – 10:00 Basic Cleanroom Design R.
