Session Objectives Know what a public service website is and have an understanding of the information they provide. Know how the information available on public service websites is of benefit to individuals and society. Think about how we would gain this information without ICT.

A public service website is… “Websites of organisations such as government departments, that provide services to the public” Features of public service websites… Vast pool of information Search facilities to access the information Example organisations include: Local and national government Information services – libraries, museums, jobs, price comparison site Emergency services NHS Education Transport Broadcasting.
