The rates of alcohol use among 8 th and 10 th grades has dropped by half. Nearly 11,000 fewer students are using alcohol compared to Year 10 th Grade Alcohol Use % % % % % % % % Q. Over 100,000 youth (12-17 year olds) seriously considered suicide in the past year, which is about one in every six students. NOTES: Depressive feeling: felt so sad or hopeless for two weeks in a row that they stopped doing usual activities. Percent of students answering “Yes”
