Business Opportunity Workshop Wednesday 09 th Sept 2015 ISP National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA) has initiated a new programme called Gauteng Industrial Symbiosis Programme (GISP). The intention of the programme is to explore new opportunities and implement innovative technologies to unlock the potential of underutilised resources. The GISP Business Opportunity Workshop is an opportunity for companies with underutilised resources to exchange resources within companies, industries, research and development agencies and local universities that will utilise them as in put materials. Resources may include; energy, water, waste, logistics and expertise. NCPC-SA in collaboration with Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD), Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED) and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality will host the third GISP workshop, on the 09 th September 2015, at Emperors Palace Workshop benefits: Waste to landfill diversion, Water savings Cost savings, Energy savings, CER reduction On 09 th September 2015, the GISP team will facilitate an interactive session that will allow participants to exchange details of resources that a company has (have) on-site or resources that a company wants (want). The workshop will enable participants to realise the following benefits :  Save money on raw materials  Explore new innovations for wasted resources  Generate new business opportunities  Reduce a company’s carbon foot print  Improve a company’s environmental performance G

In collaboration with About the Project GISP has been initiated and is being delivered by the National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA) which is housed within the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). GISP will assist companies in Gauteng Province to work together to create a network, where potential of under-utilised resources can be realised.
