Outdoor air pollution costs us our childrens future 350,000 people die each year in the EU from air pollution. The financial burden of asthma in the EU amounts to nearly 17.7bn We now know children living close to busy roads have an approximate 50% increased risk of experiencing respiratory illness, including asthma and reduced lung function over their lifetime.
