Dudley CCG Constitution It is the members document (referred to as the group) Sets out how the group will discharge their collective responsibilities as a CCG (statutory duties and functions) Large element of this is by delegation to the governing body – known in Dudley as the CCG Board

Opportunity to set out…. mutual responsibilities of member practices (to each other) Standards of conduct for members (and governing body members and employees of the group) Responsibilities of the governing body to the members

Scheme of Delegation will also set out… Where decisions are made and which decisions are reserved for: - the group members - the governing body (and committees) - individual roles Membership and terms of reference for the governing body and committees – which are approved by members as part of Constitution

Key Points Have used national template to enable ease of reference to the Health Act etc and reduce legal costs Incorporating local arrangements as previously agreed eg electoral process for GP Board members Seeking agreement for any aspects which need to be incorporated but which haven’t previously been agreed.
