Grow in Grace Part 1

The Christian life begins with a birth –R–Receiving Christ we are born again – Jn 1:12-13 –N–Nicodemus & the new birth – Jn 3:1-13 –T–The Christian is a New Creation – 2 Cor 5:17 After birth must come growth –W–We must start with milk then move to solid food –1–1 Pet 2:1-2; 1 Cor 3:1-2; Heb 5:12 Introduction

Growing in grace defined –G–Grace is used in 2 senses: In God: it is undeserved (unmerited favor) In men it is Holiness –T–To grow in grace is to grow in holiness, to be more like God and to govern our conduct more and more by the same principles that God does –G–Growing in grace is not gradually giving up sin. We must, at salvation, give up sin instantly and wholly. What is growth in grace?
