International Orality Network (ION) Who or what is the ION? What can the ION do for you? How you can be IONized…

Who or what is the ION? A network of organizations to help make God’s Word available to all oral learners in culturally appropriate ways that enable church planting movements everywhere.

oral learner or oral communicator 1.Someone who cannot read or write. 2.Someone whose most effective communication and learning format, style, or method is in accordance with oral formats, as contrasted to literate formats. 3.Someone who prefers to learn or process information by oral rather than written means. (These are literate people whose preferred communication style is oral rather than literate, even though they can read.)

Who or what is the ION? Yet <10% of all Ministry Tools are specifically addressing the needs of oral learners World Population >70% Oral

Who or what is the ION? “Our modern missions efforts have been primarily focused on trying to communicate our message to unreached people in ways that make sense to us – instead of in ways that make sense to them!” (September 2005 ION Conference Attendee)

Who or what is the ION? Vision Influence the body of Christ to make disciples of all oral learners Mission Seeking to radically influence the way oral preference learners are evangelized and discipled in every people group
