The Lord is His Name. Amos 5: 8 The Lord of Hosts is His Name. Amos 4: 13 The Lord is His Name. Amos 9: 6

Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” Exodus 3: 13 And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name Lord I was not known to them…. Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord…” Exodus 6: 2 - 6

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. Proverbs 22: 1

“But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned … ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake.” Ezekiel 36: 21, 22 You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. Exodus 20: 7 But fornication and all uncleanness … let it not even be named among you … nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, … Therefore do not be partakers with them. Ephesians 5: 3 - 7

How active is the Lord in your life? How do you know when the Lord is acting?

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. John 3: 8 There were … some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus … said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Surely the Lord does nothing, unless He reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets. Amos 3: 7 “Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, Whose height was like the height of the cedars, … Also it was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, And led you forty years through the wilderness, … I raised up some of your sons as prophets, And some of your young men as Nazirites. Is it not so, O you children of Israel?” Amos 2:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
