5 The practices suggested to the employer allow the diminution of the worker’s exposure to hazardous chemical agents, for the following activities: - current activities: production, manufacture or use at work of the chemical agents; - complementary activities: revision, reparation, maintenance, cleaning; - procedures (action plans) which can be put into effect when any accident, incident and emergency occurs. 7 Section 1 – presents minimum legal provisions concerning:  employer’s obligations;  authorisations, notifications and other requirements for the beginning of an activity which involves chemical risks exposure;  workers’ health surveillance. 8 Section 2 – gives information concerning: definitions for the hazardous chemical agents; sources of information: adequate label, safety data sheet, etc.; occupational exposure limit values; choosing the products and the working methods. 11 The labour inspectors handed out copies of the Employer’s Guide to the employers, in different occasions, as follows:  inspections performed in enterprises, by the 42 territorial labour inspectorates;  round tables and workshops with the participation of the representatives of the employers, employees, trade unions and employers’ associations;  information meetings on “Health and safety at work, a way for the Romanian accession to the European Union.” EMPLOYER’S GUIDE FOR REDUCING EXPOSURE TO HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL AGENTS AT THE WORK PLACE
