New Urbanism for Students

What is SNU? Students for the New Urbanism (SNU) is the student unit of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), a non profit organization dedicated promoting walkable, mixed used neighborhoods, cities, and towns. SNU is a student-led movement, and can be a catalyst for community change.

Your SNU Membership… Incubates and fosters creativity. Enhances your leadership skills. Builds both your professional network and your social network. Builds your professional experience.

A SNU group can… Advocate for New Urbanism practices on your campus and in your town by holding events and lectures. Understand best practices through travel to new cities, New Urbanist project sites, and much more. Learn about the latest trends through CNU resources. Network with professionals by collaborating with your local CNU chapter.

In short, SNU… Is easy to do, yet meaningful. Is expands your student experience to include relevant professional experience. Is breaking traditional design boundaries.
