When is it? The week beginning April 21 st A focus on Scientific Enquiry –You will be learning how to be Scientists On the Friday we will have a whole-school Science Fair

The Science Fair All Grades from Grade 2 upwards (I.S./Premier/L.S.) The afternoon of April the 25 th Held in the covered sports area and under cover on the field Students (and parents) can present Prizes for the best projects

The World and Our Place in it. This is your chance to show the school what a great Scientist you are! Choose a question to investigate Try looking here for ideas: Complete a brief proposal and hand it in to your teacher before March the 28th Complete your experiment Present and share your findings with your classmates

F.A.Q. Can I present with a friend/classmate? Yes, up to two students and a parent can present What materials will the school provide? If your proposal is successful, you will be provided with a table, chairs and a display board on which to show your method/results. You can put any additional requests on your proposal form. You will be responsible for finding your own experimental resources. Will everyone take part? Not everyone will present (although I encourage you to try). Every class will get a chance to visit the displays.

F.A.Q. What are the prizes? These are yet to be decide upon, but they will be something fun and scientific that you can take home and use. Who will decide the winners? A group of Science teachers from all three streams will judge the winners. Points will be given for creativity, presentation and scientific content. Remember, you can learn something even from an experiment that doesn’t go according to plan. How do I sign up? Let your teacher know that you are interested and he/she will give you a proposal form.
