Immortality of the Soul The idea that the spirit lives on for ever after the death of the body

Non-voluntary Euthanasia The act of ending someone’s life painlessly when they are unable to ask, but you think they would want you to do so – life support machine

Resurrection The Christian belief that the soul rises up after death to be judged on Judgement Day

Reincarnation The hindu belief that, after death, souls are reborn into new bodies

Near-death Experience When someone has an out of body experience

Sanctity of Life The belief that life is holy or sacred and belongs to God
