These are large groups of mountains spread over a wide area. Mountain ranges Examples of mountain ranges include the Pyrenees and the Alps in Europe, the Andes in South America and the Rocky Mountains in North America. These are large areas of flat land, sometimes found at high elevations. They form the largest part of continental land relief.
