Illawarra Institute Draft Moodle Workflow v1.1 Teaching and Learning Initiatives

Process: Creation, Dev and Quality Assurance Aim: To Enable Creation, Development and Quality Signoff of Courseware to occur on Single Moodle Server. To Enable Teachers and Staff (With Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Skills) to take control of processes as their confidence skills and knowledge increase independent of TLI. To Reduce the direct support required from TLI Admin staff and enable teachers to be self reliant in delivering their Courseware.

Beginner Teacher : Requests New Course.

Beginner Teacher : Fills in Course Details.

TLI Admin: Approves Request: Course Automatically Created Categorised under ‘Units’.

Course Automatically added to HIDDEN Dev Category

New Quality Assurance Role Created

Moodle Course Creation Roles Teachers (Beginner): can request a New Course be created by TLI Admin and build a course sequence. Course creators (Intermediate): can create new courses independently but cannot move courses out of the Hidden Development Category. Quality Assurance (Advanced): can do all of the above AND move Teacher’s Courses out of development to a ‘Live Delivery’ category following Quality Assurance Signoff.

Can we set up a cross Institute Moodle Group? Can we use FLN wiki to pull together workflows and guidelines?
