God is Moving. What do I do now?

How’d we get here? 1. Because God is WATCHING OVER me! “Surely goodness…will follow me all the days of my life…” “The Lord watches over all who love him...” Psalm 145:20

I can face the future confidently Because Heaven is WAITING FOR me! “And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

There are at least 5 distinct phases of heaven: Original PRE-SIN heaven Old Testament heaven of PARADISE CURRENT (Post-Resurrection of Christ)

Heaven is the place GOD lives. Deut. 26:15, Matt. 6:9 It’s where he sits on the THRONE and dwells in all his holiness. Isaiah 6 Heaven contains God’s permanent INHERITANCE for us. Hebrews 12:23 Heaven contains an actual SANCTUARY. Hebrews 8:5

The names of Christ’s redeemed are written in heaven. Luke 10:20 Heaven is our COUNTRY of citizenship. Hebrews 11:16 During our brief stay here on earth, we are PILGRIMS. Hebrews 11:13

Christ is our KING, and we’re now his AMBASSADORS, representing his AGENDA on earth. 2 Corinthians 5:20 People in heaven are called by NAME. Luke 16:2 We’ll LOOK like ourselves because we’ll BE ourselves.

What will NOT be there is: Material DECAY and corruption Material DECAY and corruption Burdensome TOIL Burdensome TOIL Any more “DEATH” or mourning or crying or pain Any more “DEATH” or mourning or crying or pain The SINFUL human condition The SINFUL human condition

Without the reality of the hell we deserve, we cannot appreciate the heaven we’ve been offered.

Belief DETERMINES OUR ETERNAL destination …WHERE we’ll BE Behavior DETERMINES OUR ETERNAL rewards …WHAT we’ll HAVE.
